I’m working on learning my last story for Storytelling. I tell next Monday. I’m going to do Theöne by Lambchop. I have the version from How I Quit Smoking and one from The Queens Royal Trimma EP, I believe. So, do I go with "make a life" or "save a life?" Any other differences are simply flourishes and don’t affect the meaning much. Of course, I’m no Kurt Wagner so I’ll just try to be respectful and keep it simple, not much flourish. If only I could have the strings in the background….
I just got a very nice email from one of my classmates about the story I couldn’t tell. It is exactly the evidence I need to decide it was the right thing to do. Thank you and I agree that "Sharing stories like these just may be one step toward something better."
And while I’m being thankful…see that nice woman on pg. 23 of the newest American Libraries (Apr 05)? I met Taylor last fall when I broadcast her distance ed class in Change Management. My story is an edit of a letter I wrote to her last fall after meeting her in person. She encouraged me in the belief that others needed to hear stories like mine. I am registered for her course this coming fall. Eat your heart out suckas. Thank you so much for helping me down this road Taylor!
