		<description>Well, sometimes people open up to someone who&#039;s easy to talk to, and then regret it later. For many people being able to be open and reveal the self to someone else is so frightening, and so new, that even when there&#039;s nothing to fear, they still retreat. And withdraw. And they leave a broken connection, and an unfulfilled potential friendship, behind, often with pain. 

But you know all this, and it doesn&#039;t mean the hurt isn&#039;t there. Ultimately, I think it&#039;s still worth the risk, but god what a lot of pain we humans can cause each other simply in the name of self-protection.
