Hi Angel and thanks for the congrats to Sara!

I kind of had to get an account to see the reply my son made to a post of mine that is very important to me. In fact, he emailed what he said to his mom, while he pointed me at the actual response in his MySpace. We discussed it over Sara's grad weekend, and he knows and knew that he was explicitly inviting me in.

I never did get a chance to discuss it with Sara, although I'm pretty sure we made it clear I have an account myself.

Yes, I agree! I have way too many places to be already. I was hoping to just use it to check in on the kids in their place. But within a couple of hours I had one request for a friend from someone library-related, but I'm not convinced I know who it is. Then the next morning I had requests from Michael Stephens, one of my co-workers (the fabulous Miss E) and another fabbie librarian friend. But there's really nothing much going on since, so I'll have to see.

Hell though, I'd love to spend a little time around here....

First off, congrats to Sara on her graduation. Best of luck.

Nice choice of username on MySpace. I have not bitten the bait yet to set up an account there, though I know a good number of students here use it, and I have found the writings of Brian Matthews on use of similar tools for "pre-emptive" reference intriguing. You are right, it is kind of "ugly," which I think is why it keeps me out (or is at least my "excuse"). In reality, like you, I have a good number of places to be already, and last thing I need is yet another account to remember, but I am not willing to say never.

As always, best and keep on blogging.
