The Tiger and the Snow - Roberto Benigni, Jean Reno, Nicoletta Braschi and special guest appearance by Tom Waits.
You really should watch this wonderful film! If film can be poetry then this is movie is a very moving poem of the best sort.
Unless you have some sort of ridiculous proscription against watching sub-titled films (and I feel sorry for you if you do) then you should watch this lovely Italian film.

You had me with “if film can be poetry.” I noticed that our Blockbuster has a decent foreign film selection. When I take back my flicks this weekend, I’ll see if I can get that one.
Besides. I’m going to Italy on the 26th. I ought to get in the spirit.

Wow, Italy! Good for you, Jenn; hope it’s for pleasure. Glad that line got someone … although I know so little about poetry that my competence to use it could be questioned. You’ll get the inside reference hidden in it, though, once you watch it.
