Jenn, perhaps that what these are, although this was a mild (and somewhat different) one than before. Normally when I get really bad ones I can't move, period. I have lain for several hours in what I knew to be a ridiculously painful to lay because no matter what pain that was now, or later, was nothing compared to the pain and effort involved in perhaps moving an arm.

They've never been diagnosed as anything specific, but then I don't think I've ever gone to the doctor right after one. Have mentioned them, though.

Laura, thanks.

Mark, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. Losing a family member is in many ways like losing a part of yourself. It sounds as though you and Wanda had a very good relationship, which in some ways is happy and in some ways, as you note, makes it all harder.

Take care.

Cluster headaches SUCK. I'm in the minority of females that get them. What's most annoying is when one's prescription migraine medication works for one particular type of headache and just as it's taking care of it, another migraine pops up in a different spot and there's nothing that med can do for it. I skipped work on Wednesday--a week of that, off and on, is severely draining, and I finally gave in and said, "Oh, the hell with it," and stayed in bed.
