Perhaps I just need a broader view of poetry, and a lot more exposure to it. Poetry is one of those things which I intentionally deprived myself of for years. Don’t ask why; I honestly have no idea anymore.

I also deprived myself of much literature for a long while but I took that up with a vengeance over much of the last 10 years thanks to some great book groups I’ve been in. Even ventured into a fair it on my own.

Now I need to get more into poetry. Luckily, I have someone who can help me with that now.
