Thanks, Angel. I, too, have cooled somewhat on the book, although not because of its contents. Because of the futility of hoping that anything like what he suggests might ever happen.

All I can say is that the irony runs very deep in my reviewing that book considering my situation.

It is a sad day when we feel that what we write could be destructive to us, or we worry because others may see us as “less than professional” my friend. However, much of what you say strikes a chord here since I seem to have gone somewhat quiet for similar reasons. That I have had the “we are professionals” line thrown at me recently here at work (long story there) certainly does not make it better for me.

By the way, I did read the Budd book. I was sort of lukewarm about it, but then again, could just be my malaise coming out.

Well, I do hope you do have some good news soon.

Oh, my beautiful friend. Please no, I did not take any offense at all and I only hope I haven’t caused any.

I actually did write a fair bit but never came to a conclusion, although I had managed to avoid all of what I wrote here. That is, it was positive.

I want–I need–to be positive about so many things. But I feel much like a rabbit in a snare; the more I struggle the tighter it gets.
